How does it work?
The unit does not run on a static map as per the PC3 etc but rather is load based. There is a complex algorithm programmed into the unit that determines the load on the engine as a function of injector pulse width and frequency. With the static MAP based units, you are inserting a fixed amount of fuel for the same RPM and throttle position regardless of load being applied to the engine. (e.g. if you are in 1st Gear or 4th Gear, the same amount of fuel is added at 10% throttle and 2500 rpm for both gears. But the load actually on the engine is very different in each gear. ie- 4th gear will have a higher load than 1st gear with all other variables as constant). 

The FuelShot Gen III actually varies the amount of fuel it adds based on the load it senses. There is adjustability in the unit to allow for variations to run richer/ leaner, but in most cases you will not touch this after install unless you make some changes. The tuning parameters are very much like carb jetting. The amount of Fuel added at cruise, acceleration and WOT can be adjusted, along with where in the load curve the changes happen. There is also the ability to have fuel added on Decel to eliminate decel pop.
